    Become part of our team. We have exciting opportunities for two Metrology Assistants to help co-ordinate calibration and work order tasks at a medical device company that is relocating its facilities. 



    The client has a requirement for someone with Metrology experience to manage calibration documentation in a compliant manner.

    The selected candidate(s)will perform the following duties:

    • Create equipment ID labels
    • Create Metrology work orders and update equipment records
    • Schedule calibration activities to assure readiness according to the production schedule
    • Audit calibration paperwork from third-party calibration vendors
    • Update instrument profiles in the calibration database
    • Scan metrology and validation paperwork in the calibration system and in the client's document management system
    • Submit work orders for approval with the correct signatory parties
    • Follow up with required signatory parties to gain on-time approvals
    • Review work orders for completness prior to closure
    • Write IOQ reports, summarizing qualification data, following the client's IOQ report template


    Desired Skills and Experience:
    The following listed requirements need to be met at a minimum:

    • Bachelor degree in Engineering, Science, or Computer Science or related field
    • 1-2 years of medical device industry experience, preferably in a metrology laboratory
    • Familiarity with metrology/calibration concepts, procedures, protocols and requirements
    • Familiarity of FDA for medical devices

    The skills listed below are desired in the ideal candidate:

    • Strong acumen on computerized systems, experience on a metrology or maintenance tracking database, such as Maximo is preferred.
    • Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills; ability to prioritize daily activities and meet deadlines with minimal supervision
    • Excellent interpersonal skills and influence to assure that others are helping to complete the required activities according to schedule.
    • Strong ability to resolve problems, to prioritize solutions, to determine appropriate course of action, gain consensus on that recommendation, and to implement the decision.
    • Confidently interacts with peers, vendors, various personnel in scientific, engineering, QA, Validation, and operational disciplines.
    • The successful candidate should demonstrate integrity, reliability, dedication, adaptability, innovation, and self-motivation.
